Leo completed his Ph.D. in Social Justice and Education from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom and his Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto in 2012 and has since been employed in several social and educational support services.
Leo is a therapist and healing educator in private practice providing psychotherapy and counselling (strong emphasis on decolonizing therapy) with BIPOC adults living with mental health and other life challenges. He is also employed in a Health Equity portfolio at one of Canada's largest mental health teaching hospitals and one of the world's leading research centers. When Leo is not doing his therapy and healing work, he can be found lecturing at a community college in Toronto.
Leo is also trained in Culturally Adapted Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CA-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Narrative therapy.
