Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying)

Ingrid is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and holds an MDiv degree specializing in Clinical Counselling. She is a registered Facilitator with Enrich Canada, allowing for premarital and post-marital couples’ assessments. She has client experience in building rapport, performing consults, intake and therapy sessions, assessing concerns, and formulating treatment plans. Ingrid practices an integrative style of counselling; drawing on family systems, cognitive and behavioural, psychodynamic, and solution-focused techniques. She utilizes a strength-based, person-centered approach to counselling. She provides counselling support to families, individuals, and couples from diverse backgrounds with empathy and compassion. 

As a personal passion, Ingrid pours into community groups such as Kujenga Family Wellness Project as an Advisory Council Member, providing leadership, knowledge and experience through Afro-Canadian community based workshops, webinars and programs. As well as, becoming an associate to Generation Chosen, a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the emotional intelligence of youth and young adults in underserved populations. 

In practicing her own self-care; Ingrid works out, enjoys live music, traveling and hiking.

Ingrid has an extensive history in client relationship management, enhanced through her role as a financial advisor in one of Canada’s top banks. She strives to create a warm and welcoming environment for her clients where she supports them through the multilayered diverse issues which have led them to seek therapy. She utilizes a strength-based, person-centered approach to counselling. She provides counselling support to families, individuals, and couples from diverse backgrounds with empathy and compassion. Ingrid is a Certified Prepare-Enrich Facilitator.

Approach
Ingrid works from a systemic perspective to conceptualize issues and to identify strength and growth areas. Also, she employs an integrative style of counselling, drawing on family systems, cognitive and behavioural, psychodynamic, and solution-focused techniques.

Interests
She enjoys working out, live music, traveling and hiking.
