Bishop dr. Glenford Duffus manages 13 churches in North America and the Caribbean. He served as teacher, Vice Principal, Principal and Superintendent of Education within the TDSB. He is the Chair of the Canadian Jamaican Diaspora Christian Alliance and serves on Numerous University Faculty and Community Boards. He is also a recipient of many national and international awards for his work in Education and Christendom.
Danavan, Samuels, MES, has spent a career working in the Social Service Sector with a focus on Black youth at the intersections of the social determinants of health, Anti-Black racism and wellbeing. He has worked in leadership roles at all levels of government and has been at the helm for the distribution of over $100M in investments in Black Communities.
Danavan gives of his time and knowledge freely to support the current and next generations of young leaders through his work supporting infrastructure development for grassroots organizations across the Province of Ontario.
He strongly believes that the changes we seek for our society have to be embedded in the approach we use to mentor young leaders and to challenge the status quo.
Danavan is currently the Manager of the Supporting Black Canadian Communities Initiatives a Federal initiative to build capacity and capital strength in Black Communities across Canada.
Sherrie James is a fundraising executive with more than 18 years proven success in development, marketing, project management and event management. She has worked within various sectors including health and social services. She is currently the Director of Development at Community Food Centres Canada.
Sherrie is a proud mother of two which drives her commitment to helping the youth of our communities who are being denied equitable opportunities to succeed in life.
Mr Good Vibes is the founder and CEO of Good Vibes Enterprises Inc. (which acts as the holding company for GV Media, GV Sports, and the GV Foundation)
As a Gen Z marketing consultant he has worked with top brands including but not limited to Burger King, Dave & Buster’s, Cineplex, Tim Horton’s, Loblaws, etc.
Being a former Division 1 NCAA scholarship athlete, Mr Good Vibes also travels across North America speaking to tens of thousands of middle schools and high-schools for his motivational speaking tours.
Karlyn Percil is a Certified Emotional Intelligence and Neuro-Life Coach with keen focus on diversity, inclusion, and belonging. She is the Chief Executive Officer of KDPM Consulting Group INC., and the Founder of SisterTalk Group Leadership and Wellness Academy, a group dedicated to amplifying the voices of Black, Indigenous, WoC and leveraging personal narratives as a catalyst of success. Karlyn has dedicated her career to helping corporations plan, develop, and execute successful and comprehensive Diversity and Inclusion strategies to support organization and human optimization goals. Her motivation to improve the status quo stems from her passion as a black leader and her former twenty plus year career as a bank executive, where she experienced discrimination, racial/gendered biases, and emotional tax. She is passionate about change and believes that inclusion is not just a trend, but a verb that requires action.
She has served on the Board of the Black Business and Professional Association, as the Chair of The Harry Jerome Awards and through SisterTalk Group mentored and supported the leadership development of young girls in North America, especially in her birth home St.Lucia through her SisterTalk Mentorship Circles. Karlyn has also worked with UNICEF and the Toronto Police Service on the Break The Stigma - a campaign to help change policy and eradicate sexual violence against women and girls. She is also a Guest Expert on Cityline, the longest-running daytime talk show for women.
She is currently in the process of writing her first book.
